 WELCOME WINTER!    MISS KATHY'S CHILD CARE & PRESCHOOL offers a safe and nurturing environment where your child will get the attention and care that he or she needs. My ratio of children to adults is always within state guidelines - and often even lower - to make certain each child receives TOP QUALITY CARE. For 16 years I was licensed for 14 and usually had 10 to 14 children in my care. Most were school aged with preschool age siblings.   Recently, I lowered my license capacity to 8. I am focusing most of my time and attention on a smaller group of preschool age & younger children. I will consider every families request to find the best fit for everyone. I am state licensed as a family child care provider and have met or exceeded all health and safety guidelines. I have 72 E.C.E. and Child Family & Community units and I am 2 classes from my AA degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have my preschool certificate from Cosumnes River College plus 17 years experience as a child care provider, 6 years as an assistant at St. Anne School after-school program, and 3 years as a Sunday school teacher.  For current professional development I enrolled in Sacramento County's Preschool Bridging Model Program and completed it in May 2009. My child care home has so much to offer your children. OUR updated preschool classroom includes all the necessary pre-school activities; math, science, computer skills, puzzles, lacing, counting, shapes, colors, pre-writing activities, arts and crafts, circle and story time, letter recognition and phonics.   The children love our huge playroom for dress-up, dramatic play, for block building, music & movement, our cozy book nook, and kitchen areas for letting their imaginations run free. We have a large fenced play yard for water play, sand play, basketball, soccer and just running about. There is a separate fenced area just for our toddlers and preschoolers just off of our play room. This area is foamed and carpeted for extra safety. Your child will participate in:- Arts & Crafts
